Today I spoke to Emma Irving, our Office Recruitment Manager here at Eclectic Recruitment.
Describe yourself in 3 words.
“Competitive, kind, and direct”
What is your favourite part of what you do?
“I like helping people, over time you build up a relationship with candidates that lasts beyond their job-search.”
What motivates you?
“Making a difference in somebody’s life”
What do you think is the biggest misconception people have about recruitment agencies?
“ I think people don’t realise how much we really care about our candidates. It’s extremely rewarding to place somebody that you’ve gotten to know pretty well in a job that is perfect for them, and even more so when they come back to you each time they are looking for a placement years later”
What’s something that you strive to achieve in what you do?
“Ultimately I want to achieve success for my candidates and myself, it’s important to me that I can create a positive outcome for all my candidates.”
If you could give one piece of advice to jobseekers, what would it be?
“Your CV is the first glimpse an employer gets of you, so be deliberate about what you put in it. Typos never look good!”
